We had an ultrasound, echocardiogram, NICU tour, and OB visit - all in the past week!  Baby C is holding steady and still actively squirming and poking away, and he has obediently turned himself head-down.  It was nice to see so much imagery in the last week: face, fists, spine, feet...although we didn't get any printouts to upload here and share.  Our May 8 ultrasound estimated him to be 4 pounds, 9 ounces - right on target.

Although we'll post more info and updates once he's actually delivered, here's an overview for of what his first few weeks will entail: we plan to deliver naturally at Weill Cornell on Manhattan's Upper East Side (entrance on 68th Street between York and 1st Avenue).  He'll spend up to a week in the NICU, where visitors are welcome - provided we know you're coming and put your name on the visitor list.  Then up to a week in the PICU after surgery, since PICU has better heart-specific monitoring equipment.  Finally, back to NICU for up to a week.  Both units are open to visitors, although his NICU time is when he'll be most alert and accessible to touch, hold, and play with.  With a due date of June 23, this means we'll all be home in Brooklyn by mid-July.
