Welcome Note

And away we go! :)

With our first baby due June 23rd, we've got a lot of news to share, and a lot of questions to ask and answer. Unfortunately, we don't have as much time as we'd like to talk with you all over the phone, or to travel and come see you where you are. So, this blog is our alternative: a chronicle in text, image, video, and audio of how our family is growing, the adventures we're enjoying on the way, and where all this growth and adventure is taking us.

Of course, we've got ideas of what's going to show up here, but we're open to suggestions. Got requests? Post 'em. Or: call, text, email, write, stop by, or intuit.

Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy these pages--we sure enjoyed making them--and we'll be sure to get in touch in closer ways as soon as the water breaks (no worries: Peter will not be posting any gross videos of that here; Kirsten and others have made sure of that).

Warning (just one, but we think it's relevant): Emotional content enclosed. As much fun as we've had along the way, there have been some very trying events. We will do our best warn you when we get to the graphic stuff (so you can bow out, or proceed as you wish), and while we can't promise no tears, we hope you will leave with laughter and smiles from engaging with the contents of this blog.
